Our Background
From the very beginning Virgin has stood out as a breath of fresh air in the cut throat world of commerce - more honest, more approachable, and most importantly more human than other businesses. It's this spirit that's taken us from a record shop over a shoe store, to a transatlantic airline and beyond, taking time out to challenge a few corporate dinosaurs along the way.
Virgin Holidays was created in 1985 to sell trips on the recently launched Virgin Atlantic flights to New York and Miami. In our first year we provided just over 14,000 customers with their perfect holiday, and now cater for around 300,000 people a year.
Nowadays we truly are a worldwide travel provider boasting the rallying cry 'Ask for the World' because we're passionate about creating the best holidays in the whole wide world and going that extra mile to make sure you get exactly what you want, the way you want it.
Beyond mainland USA and the Caribbean, we offer holidays to Canada, the Far East, South Africa, the Middle East, Indian Ocean, Mauritius, New Zealand and Australia, plus a well-established ski programme. Whether you want sun-drenched sand or soft, pure snow, we'll find your ideal destination.

We're committed to taking care of everyone and everything that matters to our business in the long run. Naturally, we look after you - our customers, and of course we look after our staff. But we're also determined to look after the world we all share and the people who live in it. From investing our profits in renewable energy to developing sustainable tourism projects worldwide, we are active in caring for the future of our planet.

In the last year alone we've been voted Best Long-Haul Tour Operator at the TTG Awards 2008 and won four awards at the British Travel Awards 2007, including Best Package Holiday Company Long-Haul, as voted by customers.

A clear indication of the high passenger loyalty and the enviable level of repeat business that Virgin Holidays receives can be seen in the Frequent Virgin Club. The Club is Virgin Holidays' loyalty program and membership currently stands at more than 110,000 members.
