The Safari
Serengeti Under Canvas features Tanzania's largest and most spacious mobile en-suite tents. The locations of the camps are carefully plotted to coincide with the movements of the annual migration as it traverses the Serengeti plains. Our hosts have secured some of the best semi-permanent campsites, allowing them flexibility in moving the camps according to the expected migration movements. The massive herds move relatively slowly, enabling planning ahead and setting up the luxurious camps in the best possible locations.
Day 1: London - Kilimanjaro
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Kilimanjaro international airport via Nairobi with Kenya Airways.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
On arrival, you will be transferred by road to Arusha airport to board your scheduled flight to the Serengeti. There's time to settle in your luxury tent before enjoying a delicious meal prepared for you by your camp chef. The location has 6 opulent tents complete with hot-water bucket showers and personalised butler service. They are also tastefully furnished with custom-made Indian rugs, crisp percale linen and have en-suite flush WCs. Overnight: Serengeti Under Canvas Wilderness Campsite. (L/D)
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Awake today to the first of your game drives - the Serengeti is the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world, with the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. Every year, wildebeest and zebra form the star cast of a unique spectacular - the annual Serengeti migration. Witness these animals as they begin their journey from the dry and exhausted plains of the Serengeti to the permanent waters in the north of the park. Once started, little stops the stampede and to be here to see it is an unforgettable experience! Overnight: Serengeti Under Canvas Wilderness Campsite. (B/L/D)
Day 4: Kilimanjaro - London
There's time for breakfast before your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro via Arusha, and onwards to London Heathrow via Nairobi with Kenya Airways. beach or bush extensions We have a very big selection here for you! From the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Samburu, Meru, Aberdares and Amboseli National Parks, the Laikipia Plains for more wildlife adventures, to Kipungani in Lamu if you just want to chill out on the beach. Since your international flights go through Nairobi, all you need to do is add on the packages as they are in the brochure.
