The Safari
A 7-night safari to some of Kenya's most famous parks - meet the chimpanzees and the 'Big Five' at Sweetwaters. Encounter elephant and rhino at Mount Kenya and discover more big game in the legendary Masai Mara.
Day 1: London Heathrow - Nairobi
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi with Virgin Atlantic.
Day 2: Aberdares
After breakfast, the safari leaves continues to Mount Kenya. Rest of the afternoon and evening to observe game emerging from the forest and gathering in front of the lodge at the illuminated salt lick and waterhole. Overnight: Serena Mountain Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 3: Sweetwaters
You will be met on arrival at Nairobi airport and transferred to the Nairobi Serena Hotel, where you have a day room to freshen up. You'll be picked up in the afternoon to drive towards the Mount Kenya region, your base for 2 nights. The sanctuary is in a class of its own - a sheltered oasis, clustered around a waterhole set in the pristine calm of its own private game reserve. Overnight: Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
Day 4: Sweetwaters
Morning game drive, including visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Enjoy lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, then it's your chance to book an exciting optional night game drive in the sanctuary. Overnight: Sweetwaters Tented Camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5: Masai Mara
Today we transfer to the airstrip at Nanyuki for a short flight to the Masai Mara. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the Mara Serena Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive, followed by dinner. Overnight: Mara Serena Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 6: Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives in a 4x4 safari car. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Why not pre-book a balloon excursion over the Masai Mara? Prices from £269. Overnight: Mara Serena Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 7: Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives in a 4x4 safari car. More opportunities of sighting the 'Big Five', amongst other wildlife. Overnight: Mara Serena Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 8: Nairobi
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a late-morning flight back to Nairobi. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your accommodation for 1 night. Overnight: Nairobi Serena. (B)
Day 9: Nairobi - London Heathrow
Fly back to London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic.
Mombasa Extension
Alternatively, fly down to Mombasa where you will be transferred to the Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa for 7 nights on a half-board basis. This is just the perfect finish to this fabulous safari - the hotel is absolutely beautiful with a relaxing atmosphere and plenty for you to do. The South Coast has everything you could wish for - beautiful beaches, marine parks and loads of water sports. Please note, day 8 will be taken after your 7 nights at the Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa, prior to your return flight to London Heathrow.
Mara Serena Extension
Why not stay longer in the Masai Mara? Although you'll spend 3 nights at the Mara Serena on this safari, the experience will leave you yearning for more! You can extend your stay there after day 7 - just add on the number of nights you want using the extra night rate shown on the right.

- Any excess luggage can be left in Nairobi (at a charge).
