This attractive and popular hotel personifies the Virgin Holidays' spirit with its characteristic Caribbean style and atmosphere. Never before has a hotel been named so aptly. It's exclusive to Virgin Holidays' clients in the UK, and imparts a special magic we call the 'escape effect', whereby the holidaymaker loses their 'Britishness' and natural reserve, settling into a Caribbean lifestyle. It's due in no small part to the friendly staff - we guarantee you'll know their names before you leave. The tranquil adults-only spa area has a large freeform swimming pool, jumbo whirlpool and indulgent spa treatments, so adults can relax while soaking up the sun in peace and quiet. You can work off the delicious food at the spa's superb, à la carte Garden Restaurant by paying a visit to the gym, all situated just over the road from the main hotel. There is also the stylish After Hours Bar where you can enjoy drinks and music in a relaxed but sophisticated environment. The West Coast setting is glorious, the beach is a friendly laid-back place with all the usual water sports available (or there are sunloungers to lie back and relax on). Where is it?
On the exclusive West Coast, in St James, 10 min north of Bridgetown. The hotel has two sections - the main building on the beach side and the spa building on the island side across the road from the main hotel. Transfer time from airport: 30 min.
Eats and drinks
2 restaurants - the Seascape Restaurant in the main hotel, and the intimate Garden Restaurant in the spa section, à la carte lunch and dinner (reservations required for twice-weekly dining), over 16s only. 4 bars - Seascape, Rumshack Beach Bar, Craig's Bar and air-conditioned After Hours Bar for late-night drinks. Room service is available during meal times (Deluxe Rooms receive FREE room service, all other rooms pay a small service charge).

Fun and games
On the beach: snorkelling, windsurfing, sailing and kayaks. In the main hotel there is a family games room and a small swimming pool where you can sample an introductory diving lesson. The spa area - an attractive adults-only facility (over 16 years only) with a large freeform swimming pool featuring a unique vitality hydrotherapy pool with air-loungers to relax, air and water cannons to invigorate and revitalise. Also in the adults-only section is a gym, pool room and late-night bar, all for you to enjoy FREE. A full spa menu is available in the spa, at a local charge.

83 rooms in 3 areas. Most at the main hotel on 4 floors with 1 lift. Some Standard Rooms in the main building are split-level with 1 king-size bed on the upper 'shelf' and another on the lower living area, which makes them ideal for 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. Other Standard Rooms on the ground floor of the main building and in the Garden Villas to the side of the main building have 1 king-size bed and are suitable for couples. All rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, tea/coffee maker, safety deposit box and hairdryer. Standard Rooms do not have a balcony.
Room Upgrade
Superior Rooms - some in the main building, with ocean views, balcony/terrace and 1 king-size bed, sleeping max 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years. Most Superior Rooms are in the Garden Villas, ideal for couples and small groups and sleep max 2 adults. Each 3-Bedroom Villa consists of individual en-suite rooms - 2 Superior Rooms and 1 Standard Room, or 1 Superior Room and 2 Standard Rooms with the added benefit of a shared lounge area and a shared plunge pool per villa.
Spa Rooms - situated across the road from the main building in the adults-only area (over 16 years only). These are larger rooms with seating areas on the large balconies and terraces that overlook the freeform pool and spa. They have 1 king-size bed, sleeping 2 adults.
Deluxe Rooms - situated in the main building, many are larger rooms, suitable for families, with sitting area and a balcony to enjoy fabulous ocean views and spectacular sunsets. They also offer an in-room bar with soft drinks and spirits (soft drinks replenished daily), CD player, fridge, bathrobes and turn-down service. Room service (including wine and beer) between 8.00am-9.00pm. Rooms sleep max 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years.
